Dave Edwards: A dream FA Cup tie could see a Shrewsbury upset
A cup run is huge for a club like Shrewsbury Town.

The financial rewards are massive and can go a long way, but you can also create memories with a good tie and after beating Sutton United, Town have a brilliant draw at Wolves in the third round.
There was a lot of pressure on the team and these Shrewsbury players won't be used to playing on TV every single week. The opportunity to play in front of the national cameras is really exciting as a player.
It was a difficult game, Sutton are a decent outfit and took Shrewsbury all the way. It took some unbelievable goalkeeping at times from Will Brook to keep him in the game.
Town looked dead and buried and needed a moment of magic to keep their FA Cup journey alive, and it came from Ismeal Kabia, who has been Shrewsbury's best player this season.
It had a little sprinkle of Premier League quality on it, the way he cut in and rifled it into that far corner. A terrific goal.
John Marquis then pounced on a gift to take the game away from Sutton in extra-time and that was enough to get through.
For me personally it's a dream tie with my connections with both Shrewsbury and Wolves. I think it's an amazing cup tie and financially it'll be great for Shrewsbury.
Shrewsbury will absolutely fill that away end and I'm sure the Wolves fans will be really engaged in the game as well because it's a local game.
But there's so much jeopardy for Wolves in this tie and I'm sure it will be picked for TV because there is a chance of an upset.
If you can make it difficult in the opening 15 or 20 minutes and quieten the Molineux atmosphere, you can make it a nervy place, especially with Wolves' struggles at the moment.
It's a wonderful opportunity for Shrewsbury and they have a chance of getting to the fourth round, which is exciting considering recent history in the competition with games against Manchester United, West Ham and Liverpool.
Of course, we had those two cracking games in 2019 when Shrewsbury and Wolves met in the FA Cup.
Wolves brought all their stars to the Meadowe but it was a worldie from Greg Docherty and a Luke Waterfall header that put Salop in dreamland.
Raul Jimenez dragged a goal back before Mat Doherty popped up with a late equaliser.
It was gutting. I was injured for that game, but I was in the dressing room after the game. Sam Ricketts was so proud of the way that the team had played.
In the replay I was an unused sub and we conceded early at Molineux, again through Doherty, but managed to go 2-1 up through James Bolton and Josh Laurent.
Doherty scored again before Ivan Cavaleiro got the winner, but they were two fantastic games that were filled with goals and emotion. A rollercoaster of feelings right the way throughout.
If 2026 can be anywhere similar to that, it'll be really exciting and I'm looking forward to it.
I'll be a Shrewsbury fan, first and foremost, as I always am. My son and brother will be supporting Wolves and I have so many fond memories and love for the football club, but I will have my Shrewsbury hat on for this one.
It'll make such a big difference to the situation that Shrewsbury find themselves in financially at the moment. I'll be watching and hopefully I'll be involved in some capacity in the media, but we'll wait and see.
