Charlton v Shrewsbury: Could Town make changes?

Shrewsbury Town are back in action today against Charlton.

Salop head to the capital looking to build on that brilliant win at the Croud Meadow against Wrexham last time out.

Club captain Carl Winchester has left Shropshire since then, and Dominic Gape and Ricardo Dinanga have joined from non-league.

What will Ainsworth do with his side at The Valley? Ollie Westbury has predicted the team.

Well… it would be a really difficult argument for anyone to make to leave a player out.

Shrewsbury’s players performed as if it was their last game on this planet more than a week ago against Phil Parkinson’s team.

Aaron Pierre’s fitness will be key. He went off with a hamstring injury in that clash and while Gareth Ainsworth has said the problem is not that bad - he did say they are monitoring him.

There is an argument Gape might come into the XI for his first Salop appearance - but given how well Town did last time out - it feels harsh for Ainsworth to drop someone.

I expect the new players to be on the bench in south London.
