Aston Villa learn ticket details for Paris Saint-Germain showdown
Unai Emery’s team face Paris Saint-Germain in Austria in August.
Villa will receive an allocation of 7,000 tickets for their European Super Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
The number of tickets is just under a quarter of the total capacity of the Stadion Salzburg, where the season curtain-raiser will take place on Wednesday, August 12.
Europa League champions Villa face Champions League winners PSG in a re-match of the Champions League quarter-final from 2024-25, which the Parisien club edged 5-4 on aggregate on route to winning the first of their back-to-back titles.
A large contingent of fans from both clubs is expected to travel to the match. Uefa has confirmed each club will receive an allocation of 7,000, with a further 9,000 tickets on sale to the general public. The capacity of the stadium is 28,500.
Ticket prices range from 30 Euros to 150 Euros, with Villa and PSG supporters given priority access to the cheapest selection.
While Villa are yet to confirm the sales process for their batch of tickets, Uefa’s general sale has already opened on the governing body’s official website.
Fans have until June 23 to apply, with tickets then allocated through a lottery. Successful applicants will then be able to buy up to two tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
Villa are making their second-ever appearances in the Super Cup, having previously won the trophy in 1983 when they defeated Barcelona over two legs.
