Adrian Gunnell made a winning start in his quest to reach the final stages of snooker's first ranking event of the season.

The Telford potter defeated Ben Judge 5-1 in the first qualifying round for the Wuxi Classic in China.
Gunnell, who has lost his place on the main tour, now faces Li Yan this afternoon at the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield.
The 39-year-old is hoping to be one of 16 qualifiers who travel to China at the end of this month.
But, should he overcome Yan, a clash with Gerard Greene lies in wait tomorrow with the winner facing Fergal O'Brien on Friday.
