The 30-year-old joins Salop after his contract at non-league Eastleigh expired on Sunday, and he has signed with the Shropshire club until the end of the season.
Gape has had a distinguished EFL career and has played for Ainsworth before - he made more than 170 league appearances for The Chairboys between August 2016 and June 2023.
He has featured 10 times for Eastleigh this season in the National League registering one assist in their game against Yeovil Town - they went on to draw that match 2-2.
Gape becomes the second player to arrive at the Croud Meadow this month after Callum Stewart checked in last week from National League North side Leamington.
Stewart signed a two-and-a-half-year deal in Shropshire, which will see him stay with Town until the summer of 2027.
Gape has not featured in Eastleigh's last two matches. They were beaten by Altrincham at the weekend, but they did get the better of Solihull Moors before that.
Town make the trip to The Valley this weekend to take Charlton in League One - they will be looking to build on their good form, which has seen them take 12 points from their last 10 games.
