'Puzzled by PM's expressions' - Your Letters: December 27

HAS PM HAD A LITTLE BOTOX?
I do like Chris Smith's letter. The description of our charmless Prime Minister as being a product of AI is at odds though of my thoughts about him. Whenever he's been on TV I've been somewhat puzzled by him (and not just by his seemingly always changing policies), I had my own theory about him.
My theory is this: Sir Kier Starmer has had Botox! In fact his face has had so much Botox treatment that his facial expressions never alters (you watch him on TV and decide for yourself). And as an extra 'bonus' seem to have affected his vocal cords and set them at the same boring monotone.
Personally I haven't liked many of our Prime Minister's in the last few years, but at least they spoke with a passion as if they were interested and knew what they were talking about. They all used variations of tone and inflection in what they were saying. Perhaps Lord Alli should have invested in lessons in public speaking and oratorical skills for 'Brother' Starmer rather than designer suits, spectacles and concerts? Unless of course the boring tones are designed to send his audience to sleep while his back room come up with more cunning plans to rival removal of winter heating allowances for all but the few? Along with others harming the most vulnerable in society.
Our Prime Minister is, like all politicians from local through to national level, there to represent and work on behalf of the electorate. Currently ours seems to be on a world tour - by gas guzzling, polluting aircraft - and coming out with decisions that hardly help our economic health nationally.
Six months ago we were among the leaders of the G7 group of leading nations showing economic growth. Today we have zero growth and we get Brother Starmer saying that it's going to be hard for us now and in the near future, but before his five year term is up we'll be back at the top again.
Kier Starmer does know what his job entails doesn't he? If not he'd better learn quick and apply proper solutions to our problems.

OUR ROADS ARE A TOTAL DISGRACE
The state of our roads in Shropshire is appalling. There are numerous potholes that rarely get filled, or if they are it is done cheaply and the repair only lasts until the next frost or heavy rain.
Road drainage in our county is a joke. I do realise that we have had exceptionally bad weather lately but our roads and footpaths are flooded on a regular basis, presumably because Shropshire Council does not clear out the gulleys very often so the water has nowhere to go other than across the paths and roads. This is a short sighted saving by the council as the flooding frequently results in people being delayed or prevented from getting to work, with the resulting economic cost.
We all pay a substantial amount to Shropshire Council in our council tax but, sadly we appear to get very little in return. They could not even manage to get the stickers for the garden recycling bins right!
