'I'm very concerned our small businesses aren't getting the help they need' - Your Letters: March 13

GIVE OUR SMALL BUSINESSES HELP
Having set up a couple of successful small businesses myself - a cafe bar, and a heritage shop, both still running after 30 years - I'm very concerned our small businesses in the region aren't getting the help they need ('Black cloud over county's economy', March 11).
Labour's made mistake after mistake - the fuel allowance cut, the National Insurance increase - which show they just don't understand businesses, or how to get growth.
And now family farmers I speak to complain the slowing economy means their bills aren't getting paid - on top of fuel hikes and awful weather.
The government and the council need to look very hard at how they can act urgently to help our struggling rural economy.

DRIVERS ARE THE REAL PROBLEM
Once again we have a local MP expressing a comment on motoring issues using a factually incorrect phrase which brings into question their knowledge of the subject matter.
North Shropshire MP Helen Morgan refers to the A483 from Oswestry to Llanymynech as a 'dangerous road'. For her benefit there is no such thing as a dangerous road, just a minority of motorists who are unable to adjust their driving to the prevailing conditions. It is they who are dangerous and not the road.
Helen Morgan also make similar 'dangerous' allegations about the Llynclys crossroads to which my comments are the same. Like thousands of others I safely have negotiated these crossroads and the A483 and have never encountered the frequent accidents to which she refers. It is truethere are numerous delays but these are mostly cause by roadworks and the ridiculous 20 mph limit imposed by the Welsh Government.

HOW CAN WE SUPPORT TYRANT?
How could anyone in their right right mind support a leader of a country in a peace deal who every day uses its military might to kill people and little children in another country? Donald Trump must be a fruit and nut case.

WATER RATES RISE ARE FOR A REASON
Water rates are being hiked significantly and some people ask why?
Some of you may remember I wrote with regard to the water rate hike, which I said was partly due to making water clean and germ free for wild swimmers.
So now all I can say is I told you so.
