Thank-you to Peter Rhodes
I must take this opportunity to say thanks to Peter for all his good work over the years. Always found something interesting to report and always hit the nail on the head.
One of the best things in the Shropshire Star.
Funny and incisive.
What a man!
Sadly missed.

Football today is a disgrace
Football at the present time is a disgrace. All the teams cheat to win games, taking players down when running for goal, holding players in the penalty box, these should be red cards.
We need a big change so that English players have a chance to play in the football league. Wolves themselves have two teams of foreign players and some teams bring at least 15 players to a game, all foreign. The FA are to blame for allowing this to happen. I read that two Liverpool players are getting £320k a week and supporters are paying at least £100 a match to see their team lose a match by cheating players. Let's get back to domestic football.

News channel showing bias
When the BBC shows left wing bias it should rightly be called out for doing so. Why is it then that Reform UK supporting GB News is allowed to get away with showing a far right extremist agenda, and nothing is ever said about it?
The aggressive sneering presenter cannot wait to get their teeth into any story where they can criticise anything foreign (Donald Trump excepted). The broadcasting authorities need to take some action to stop this nonsense.

PM should not lecture others
So our dear Prime Minister thinks it’s irresponsible for the doctors to go on strike but how does it affect him, it only affects us who have no option but to use our fantastic NHS. Irresponsibly eh?
Is it not irresponsible to lie to us?
Is it not irresponsible to let in thousands of illegal immigrants?
Is it not irresponsible to allow shirkers to claim benefits while others continue to work to pay the shirkers?
Is it not irresponsible to have our people living in poverty and on the streets whilst immigrants are given a home? It’s highly irresponsible of Starmer to talk about irresponsibility when he is responsible for so much irresponsibility.
