'Ban all killer drones from our world skies' - Your Letters: December 31

LEADERS SHOULD TACKLE DRONES
COP 29 could have done something useful by banning all killer drones.
Where was was Tom Cruise when they needed him? The Americans appear not to have been able to find anything else to shoot at so they shot down their own multi million dollar dragon jet fighter in the Red Sea, fortunately the multi million dollar technology enabled war dragon crew to survive the friendly fire incident, also good news for all the innocent people in far away lands which may have been attacked by this particular dragon are now safe as it will never be able to kill anyone else now. Sadly the demand for killer dragon drones is increasing as Judgment Day has actually started in many different countries using the cheap no risk to the operator technology to kill people with no respect for any normal military rules of engagement, how long will it be until killer drones are for sale on the internet for less than a family car?
Shame COP 29 could have done something useful in the interests of climate change and banned all killer dragon drones from our world skies.

COUNCIL CHANGE IS SHAMEFUL
Shame on Angela Rayner for her changes to councils. This is an obvious attempt to cancel the May 2025 council elections where Labour will take a huge beating.
The other thing is that when councils are merged the costs never go down. Merging a prudent council like Telford & Wrekin with a profligate council like Shropshire who have over £30 million in debts due to mismanagement is completely wrong.

MANDELSON WILL BE EATEN UP
It now looks Starmer no longer wants a trade deal with the America, if he did, why is he sending Peter Mandelson to charm Trump and Musk? They will eat him for breakfast. It was not long ago he was slagging them both off in the media, it’s now more than likely they won’t even bother to turn up.

WHO IS HELPING FLOOD VICTIMS?
I can't help but be aware that in this country were quick to help third world countries in times of crisis.
People up and down the country have been affected by flooding time and time again, losing their businesses and homes, unable to get insurance cover and unable to sell. Who is helping them?
