A police officer is facing a misconduct hearing for allegedly misusing police systems.
PC Ryan Clarke, who served the Shropshire and Telford area, is accused of using the systems to access information pertaining to an associate.
Because of the allegations, a gross misconduct hearing will be held at West Mercia Police’s force headquarters in Hindlip, Worcestershire.
It is alleged that PC Clarke breached the following standards of professional behaviour: integrity; confidentiality; and discreditable conduct.
These, say West Mercia Police, amount to gross misconduct in that they are serious as to justify dismissal.
Deputy Chief Constable Damian Barratt will chair the two-day hearing, which is due to start at 10am this Wednesday (July 15).
