“This is our best result at The British Pie Awards and one of our greatest achievements to date!”
The shop received a Silver Award for their Steak & Ale Pie, a Silver Award for their Steak & Shropshire Blue pie, but she said the greatest accolade was winning the the prestigious Highly Commended Award for their Balti Chicken/Sports Pie - which was created for the stands at two local football teams.
"They had a record breaking 1,040 pie entries at the awards this year," said Julia. "We entered our Balti Pie, which we supply to Telford Town FC and Shifnal Town FC," said Julia. "We are over the moon. We enter every year and were aiming for gold but coming away with highly commended is fantastic.
