We visit the beautiful Shropshire border village with three pubs and charming locals who offer a friendly welcome
Pattingham is a village filled with history, picturesque walks and even more amazing people.
On the Shropshire/Staffordshire border lies the quiet village of Pattingham.
A rural village that prides itself on community, Pattingham features three pubs near its centre, a historic church, a row of quaint shops and a lovely park for both adults and children to enjoy.
Walking around the village, it's easy to see why hundreds of people visit each day, with plenty of greenery, fantastic food and plenty of smiling faces to make everyone feel welcome.

The shops, which feature a beauty salon, a convenience store and a pharmacy, also include Kenneth Clive menswear, which has been operating in the village for more than 40 years.
Kenneth, owner of Kenneth Clive, said of his time owning the shop: "It's a fantastic place. If I had to pick out one thing that makes it lovely, it would be the people.
"There's plenty of walks, we have a lovely church and it's a really friendly place to be. Pattingham is a great place."
The village centre is home to three bars: The Pigot Arms, The Crown Bar and Kitchen and the Working Men's Club, each a must-visit for any visitors coming to the area.
Mike Little, licensee of The Pigot Arms, said it's the perfect place to be: "I've been the licensee since October. It's a beautiful place.

"We have a great range of pubs here, plenty of shops, we have our own tailor, and the community is brilliant. It's an amazing place to live and visit."
While the village is a great place to visit, according to residents it's an even better place to live.
Tracey Harvey, who moved to Pattingham after living in London, said: "It's great. I used to live in London, so it was good to come here and escape the city life.
"It's peaceful and calm and there is plenty of fresh air. It's a nice change from the city."
Angela Molinari, another resident of Pattingham, said that It's 'amazing' to live in a place where people come to visit.
She said: "I think the community is the best part of Pattingham, everyone is so friendly and welcoming.
"It's really nice to live in a place where people usually visit too. People come here to get away from the cities, but we live here - it's great."
The park of the village is also a must-visit for anyone with small children, with many families using its playground and field each day.

Dick and Sally Clarke, from Pattingham, were visiting the park with their granddaughter Ella. They said: "It's the community. That's what really makes this village stand out.
"We have the lovely shops, a nice park, not to mention the walks and cycling routes. It's a really nice place to live."
As we left the small village, the final consensus seemed to be that not only is Pattingham the perfect place to live, but also the perfect place to visit, as everyone is welcome.
