Watch: Oswestry Food & Drink Festival sees town packed with foodies, live music and owls
The festival featured dozens of independent producers, artisan creators, and street food vendors
The streets of Oswestry were buzzing with energy over the weekend as thousands of visitors and locals gathered for the annual Oswestry Food & Drink Festival.
Held on Saturday and Sunday (July 4 and 5) the free-to-attend event transformed the town centre into a vibrant celebration of local flavour, creativity, and community spirit.

Showcasing the very best of the regional food scene, the festival featured dozens of independent producers, artisan creators, and street food vendors. Visitors packed the streets to sample local delicacies and support independent businesses, while live musical acts provided a fantastic soundtrack to the weekend’s festivities.

The event marked a spectacular weekend for the town's cultural and economic calendar, drawing heavy footfall into the town centre and providing a welcome lift to local high street traders.
A spokesperson for Invest in Oswestry said: "The incredible turnout over the weekend proves that our town has a massive appetite for community-led events.

“It wasn't just a great weekend for visitors, but a vital showcase for our fantastic independent producers and local businesses who benefited from the exceptional footfall."
The weekend’s lively atmosphere extended well beyond the main food stalls. The Cambrian Beer Festival, running from Friday to Sunday at the historic Oswestry Station Building on Oswald Road, offered attendees a stellar selection of ales and ciders alongside the unique opportunity to hop aboard steam and diesel train services running between Oswestry and Weston Wharf.

On Sunday, community celebrations peaked with The Oswestry Bake-Off taking over the Memorial Hall, followed by crowds heading down to Cae Glas Park to unwind with live music at Reggae in the Park.

The festival was organised and supported by Oswestry Town Council, Oswestry BID and local partners.
They are already looking ahead to the next major community draw, the Oswestry Balloon Carnival on August 22 and 23, which promises another spectacular weekend of free family entertainment.
