A BMW that crashed into a Telford home four days ago has finally been removed from the side of the house.

Holyhead Road in Ketley was closed to traffic again on Thursday afternoon as a recovery vehicle attended the scene of a collision that took place on Sunday.

The BMW smashed into a terraced house next to a Shell garage at around 10.30am, taking out an entire corner of the ground floor building.

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries as a result, with the driver and two occupants of the property being discharged by ambulance crews on the scene.

The following day, a steel beam had been erected to support the home, boards were installed, and the scene was blocked from view.

On Thursday afternoon, work was underway to remove the vehicle with police and a recovery team on scene. By 2.30pm, the car had been removed from the home and lifted onto a flatbed truck.

The collision had left a devastating hole in the side of the home, which was being checked over by workers in the immediate aftermath of the car's removal.

West Mercia Police confirmed that no arrests had been in connection with the incident, but the driver of the vehicle, a male, was reported for driving without due care and the Criminal Justice Department will decide what action will be taken.
