Shropshire's five MPs will hold crunch talks with Government officials tomorrow in a bid to secure a direct rail link between Shropshire and London.
The county's MPs will be meeting Secretary of State for Transport Justine Greening MP.
There has been cross-party support for the link and Telford MP David Wright said he was now looking for a commitment from the Government to provide the service.
"A direct link from Telford to the capital is important for our local economy in terms of promoting business growth, leisure and tourism," said Mr Wright.
Shrewsbury and Atcham MP Daniel Kawczynski said a direct link would improve the local economy.
The Wrexham & Shropshire service was scrapped in January last year.
