Telford parks to host three outdoor summer shows as theatre remains closed for refurb
Three outdoor plays are set for parks in Telford this summer.

With Telford Theatre closed for refurbishment, three plays are set to take over two parks in the town over the summer.

The first, an Oddsocks performance of Julius Caesar, will be held at Bowring Park in Wellington on Sunday, July 7.
One of the UK's best-loved touring theatre companies, Oddsocks combines classic Shakespeare with clowning around to create accessible and fun outdoor theatre performances.
On Tuesday, August 20, a musical performance of The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle will be at Hartshill Park in Oakengates.
Performed by award-winning outdoor theatre Illyria, it will follow the famous animal communicating doctor around the world on a quest to cure illness, spread kindness, and better understand animals everywhere.
Then, on Friday, September 6, the cycling Shakespearean troupe HandleBards will bring The Comedy Of Errors to Bowring Park.
Pedalling from venue to venue with all of their set, props and costumes on the back of their bikes, the HandleBards are a four-strong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the country.
Being outdoor performances, attendees are asked to bring a chair or blanket to sit on and dress for the weather.
