Man, 31, who was drunk and disorderly outside Shropshire police station is ordered to pay hundreds

A man who was drunk and disorderly in the car park at a Shropshire police station has been ordered to pay more than £800.

Patrick Ward, aged 31, was under the influence and was behaving out of the ordinary outside Malinsgate Police Station in Telford town centre on January 30 this year.

Ward, of Stebbings, Sutton Hill, Telford, was found guilty in his absence at Telford Magistrates Court of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

Magistrates fined Ward £220 and ordered him to pay £650 in prosecution costs, leading him with a total legal bill of £870.
