No ticket? No problem: Best alternative spots to watch the sold-out RAF Cosford Air Show
Footpaths, railways and National Trust spots among the top viewing areas
The much-loved RAF Cosford Air Show 2026 - but what should you do if you missed out on grabbing a ticket?
Well, while you may miss out on the interesting exhibits and entertainment on site, there are still a number of prime viewing spots where you can catch a glimpse of planes whizzing overhead in style.
Here are some of the best places to watch the show without a ticket.
A464 footpaths
There are public paths along the A464 just behind the airfield where planes fly directly overhead. It’s a prime spot for aviation photographers.
However, be careful where you park as the A464 and A41 near the airfield have been made a 'clearway'. Vehicles won't be able to stop or park and may be removed if caught doing so.
Bowling Green Lane and Kennel Lane will be closed.

Cosford Railway Station
The station is next door to the air base, meaning you can get up close to the action and hear the engines roaring above right from the platform.
It will be very busy at certain times, though.

The Albrighton Trust, Moat and Gardens
For £25 per vehicle - or £35 for camper vans and larger vehicles - you can enjoy “excellent views of the flying display as aircraft soar overhead performing impressive manoeuvres”. It may sound a bit pricey, but if you’ve got a car full it’s not bad value.
Facilities include toilets, refreshments, a BBQ serving burgers and sausage buns, and an ice cream vendor. The site will be open from 9am.

A spokesperson said: “We look forward to welcoming you for an enjoyable day.”
Rules for the day include: no gazebos, open fires or disposable barbecues; dogs must be kept on a lead at all times; no alcohol or drugs on site.
Visitors are urged to arrive by 12pm. To book, visit tickettailor.com/events/thealbrightontrust/2079577
Wildwood Alpacas
A slightly left-field shout. Wildwood Alpacas will be holding a “park and picnic” event for people to watch the air show.
There will be walks in the morning available with the fuzzy-haired, generously necked creatures, before people are welcomed in for the park and picnic, to feed the alpacas and watch the Red Arrows from 12.30pm. Visitors can upgrade their tickets for a meet and greet with the animals and an arena walk.
