The Telford College initiative provides people of all ages with an accessible place to explore their next steps, whether they are seeking a first qualification, considering an apprenticeship, returning to learning or looking for a career change.

Services include careers guidance, adult learning opportunities and apprenticeship support, alongside recruitment and staff development advice for local employers. A new retail and hospitality academy will also offer courses and support for businesses in the town.
The Skills Shop will also house a Department for Work and Pensions Youth Employment Hub, giving young people who are not currently in education, employment or training access to dedicated support locally.

Glynn Morrow, Centre Manager at Telford Centre, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Telford College’s Skills Shop to Telford Centre. Having these services in a place people already visit makes it easier for them to ask questions, explore their options and access support.
“Our role goes beyond retail. By working with local partners, we can help connect people with opportunities and support the community around us. The Skills Shop is a welcome addition for local people and businesses alike.”
The Skills Shop is open Monday to Saturday 8am–6pm.
