The SIBA Midlands & West regional awards were hosted by Ludlow Spring Festival at Ludlow Castle on Friday 8th May.

Taking place across nine geographical regions, the Indie Beer Awards are the UK’s leading beer awards, run by SIBA and judged by master brewers, beer sommeliers, brewing industry representatives and expert beer judges. The awards congratulate excellence in the brewing industry across a variety of categories from cask ales to keg, bottle and can.

The silver medal is the first industry award for the brewery’s flagship session lager Latitude 52.

Head brewer Cody Palin said: “Huge thanks to our team for their hard work and to everyone who’s enjoyed a pint of our beers. Our lager is a real labour of love, and it’s fantastic to see it recognised by our industry peers.”

He added: “We’re absolutely thrilled that Silent Knight has won gold in the new Midlands & West regional awards (a much bigger region than the previous Wales & West) after it went on to win a Gold medal at the SIBA national awards in 2024.

“Silent Knight is a creamy, smooth stout with a hint of sweetness. It was created as a limited edition Christmas version of Ludlow Brewing’s core stout Black Knight, but proved so popular we have kept it on.”
