Shrewsbury's beloved leisure boat will be featuring on TV this week - in a programme hosted by Clare Balding
Shrewsbury's beloved leisure boat will be featuring on TV this week, with presenter Clare Balding treated to a journey down the River Severn.
The Sabrina Boat, which provides idyllic trips on the river for tourists and residents of Shrewsbury alike, starts its 16th season on March 1.
But, before that happens people might be able to catch a glimpse of the boat on TV.
The boat, and its owner, Dilwyn Jones, are set to appear on Tales from the Riverbank with Clare Balding.

The programme is scheduled for Channel 5 at 8pm on Thursday, February 13.
The show sees the presenter, known for fronting a host of major sporting coverage over the years, telling the stories of Britain's most iconic rivers, looking into the glorious sights and sounds of the river and its inhabitants.
A spokesman for Channel 5 said: "Her adventure begins on the longest river in the country - the magnificent Severn - which flows along a course of 220 miles, all the way to Bristol and the shores of the Severn Estuary."
An update on the Sabrina Boat social media page revealed more potential details about the show, saying: "Clare Balding will visit Shrewsbury, stopping at Darwin House and its stunning grounds while chatting with historian John Hughes.
"She’ll then hop aboard the Sabrina Boat to experience the famous Severn loop and speak with our very own Dilwyn Jones about the river’s significance."
Mr Jones said it had been wonderful to welcome the popular presenter onto the boat - and share a journey down the river.
He said: "She was just a lovely down to earth person to speak to, it was just like speaking to someone you are friends with actually."
He added: "She was genuinely interested about the river and the stories about the river."
