Following her whirlwind time on Britain's Got Talent, it was back to the day job for Shropshire's Zoe Cooper as she returned to her local swimming baths in Shrewsbury.

The swimming ace, who performed in front of millions during the lTV talent show as one quarter of synchronised swimming act Aquabatique, couldn't wait to get back in the water at The Quarry swimming and fitness centre on Monday.

She spent her first day back in Shropshire interviewing candidates for a position at her swimming school, the Shropshire Swim Academy.

Zoe, who was born in Newport, has wasted no time getting back to real life as she waits for opportunities to come her way following her success on the hit TV show.

She said: "We are just waiting to see what is going to happen now but in the meantime it was great just getting back to the pool in Shrewsbury."

Aquabatique wowed audiences and judges during Saturday's live final of Britain's Got Talent – but missed out on a place in the final three of the contest, won by dancing dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey.

But Zoe said she was pleased with her performance. "We wanted to be role models in this year of the Olympics and it's brilliant that the audience understood what we were doing," she said.

Zoe is already booked to perform at this month's Monaco Grand Prix with her other swimming group, Aquabatix, alongside the likes of pop sensation Labrinth.
