Shrewsbury town centre nuisance, 46, gets court order extended
The 46-year-old was ordered not to swear, drink alcohol outside or be abusive to police officers or members of the public
A town centre nuisance who once defecated in the street has had his criminal behaviour order (CBO) extended.
David Severn, aged 46, was ordered not to swear, drink alcohol outside or be abusive to police officers or members of the public as part of a three-year court order in September 2023.
But Severn, of no fixed abode, has been convicted at Telford Magistrates Court of breaching his CBO.

The order has now been extended by two years, meaning he must stick to the conditions until September 2028.
PC Anna Rouse, from Shrewsbury’s Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “CBOs are put in place to protect communities from persistent anti-social behaviour, and we will take action against anyone who breaches them.
“Severn's behaviour has caused distress to people in Shrewsbury town centre, and the extension demonstrates that repeated breaches will not be tolerated.
“We will continue to work with our partners to ensure the town centre remains a safe and welcoming place for residents, businesses and visitors.”
Severn’s CBO stipulates he must not refuse to leave premises or an area when asked to do so by a person who has authority, or behave in an aggressive manner towards such a person causing harassment, alarm or distress.
He must not be verbally abusive or use foul language or behaviour directed towards any officer of the local authority or any member of the public, and must not be in possession of an open vessel containing alcohol in a public place in Shrewsbury other than at licensed premises.
Severn was fined £40 earlier in 2023 for relieving himself in full view of the public.
