Here's what a new Lidl planned for Shrewsbury could look like
The proposal was first submitted last year and has undergone major changes since.
Computer generated images show what a new Lidl store planned for Shrewsbury could look like - if planners give it the go-ahead.

The budget supermarket applied to Shropshire Council for permission to build the store off Welshpool Road in Bicton Heath last year.

The proposal has been subject to changes while going through the planning process, with original plans for a drive-thru coffee shop and retail unit replaced by a care home earlier this year.

The supermarket would be on land off Welshpool Road, and would be accessed from Little Oxon Lane.

The site for the care home is to the north of the development.

Images included with the plans from the developers show what the scheme could look like if it gets the green light.

The plans have received a mixed response with some locals welcoming the prospect of a budget supermarket in the area, but others raising concerns about the impact on traffic.
The community was also angered by the removal of a hedgerow on the site which sparked a host of complaints to local councillors.
The neighbouring Co-operative store has also objected to the plans for the development.
A decision on the proposal will be taken at a later date.
