Ryanair expands Birmingham Airport fleet with ninth aircraft for Winter 2026

To celebrate Ryanair’s 9th aircraft, the airline has launched a limited time seat sale

Ryanair, the UK’s No.1 low-fares airline, has announced that it has added a ninth aircraft to be based at Birmingham Airport for Winter 2026.

The new aircraft is part of a new US$900m investment and is set to deliver five new routes to Copenhagen, Rome Fiumicino, Warsaw Modlin, Marrakesh and Tirana and will support over 3,270 local jobs.

The ninth aircraft will grow Birmingham’s traffic by 21% and create dozens more local jobs and Ryanair has already submitted plans to the Labour government to grow UK traffic by 27% to 80M passengers by 2030.

“We are proud of our long-standing partnership and pleased to work together to deliver the destinations our customers are looking for, giving them even greater choice and connectivity while responding to the Midlands' growing demand for air travel.”

To celebrate Ryanair’s newest aircraft, the airline has launched a limited time seat sale with fares from £29.99 available to book now via the Ryanair App.
