River Wye holiday company wants to shoot a promotional video in Builth Wells

A website promoting getaways along the River Wye, wants to shoot a video highlighting Builth Wells.

The people behind Where the Wye Wanders contacted Builth Wells Town Council recently.

The website and accommodation booking company started as a simple idea: to share the unique experience of life along the River Wye.

This site is for people who want more than just a typical getaway. It's for those looking for a slower pace of life, soak in the landscape, and explore the outdoors. Every stay, activity and place to visit, listed on the website has been carefully chosen to share the best of what the area has to offer, with a local perspective.

Town clerk Louise Hammond said Where the Wye Wanders is based in Hay-on-Wye but it is building its portfolio and wishes to list Builth Wells on the website.

They also plan to do a promotional summer video of the Wye and the Groe and to list local bed and breakfast and guest house accommodation.

They asked the town council if they would be happy for them to do that. Councillors noted the report and said anything to help publicise the area would be welcomed.
