Two candidates, one seat available.

Miles Hosken, Conservative (incumbent)

Miles Hosken

For a number of consecutive years I have been fortunate to serve the people of Wellington as a town councillor and also as a Telford and Wrekin borough councillor. I am at present privileged to be Ercall ward councillor. I have been elected as Mayor of Wellington on two occasions and Mayor of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin. During my time I have been involved in a variety of committees where I have consistently endeavoured to represent your views and concerns.

I have always lived in the Wellington area, and before retiring, ran a business for 45 years in Wellington town centre, and was actively involved in the community.

As a committed ward Councillor I have campaigned for the retention of the Princess Royal Hospital A&E, spoken out about child sexual exploitation, local policing, raised awareness of Wellington Post Office closure and supported my electorate with their concerns regarding a variety of developments, road and pathway maintenance to name but a few issues.

I always have your best interests at heart and I am openly available to you and prepared to act on your behalf at all times. I believe in a common sense and direct approach.

I ask you to please support me again in the forthcoming borough and town council elections.

Giles Luter, Labour

Giles Luter

Giles Luter is campaigning to be elected as your borough councillor for the Ercall ward.

Born at The Wrekin hospital in Wellington in 1985, he attended Wellington schools and has always lived and worked in the local area.

Giles believes it is important to be accessible to residents and, if elected, would hold regular ward surgeries so residents can easily raise any local issues or specific problems. He has already made suggestions for additional grit and waste bins in the ward and raised residents concerns about the increase in dog fouling.

Along with other Labour councillors Giles will continue to campaign hard to reverse the proposed closure of our 24/7 A&E and Women’s and Children’s Centre at the PRH and save this vitally important part of the National Health Service in our community.

Working with local residents, Giles is a volunteer committee member of the Friends of Bowring Park who are actively improving one of the most beautiful areas of Wellington, known by all as “The Bowring”.

Giles loves the area and Wellington as a whole and would be honoured to work hard to serve our community with a fresh perspective.

If elected, Giles will work hard on your behalf.
