Police called to Shropshire medical practice after 'disturbance' - residents told to stay away
Police were called to the medical practice
Residents were being asked to stay away from a Shropshire medical practice on Friday morning after a “disturbance” saw police called.
At around 9.40am on Friday (August 21), a message from Wem & Prees Medical Practice asked patients to not attend the surgery without a pre-arranged appointment due to an “ongoing incident”.
Practice manager, Caroline Morris said: “Due to an ongoing incident at the practice, we are asking patients to not attend the surgery unless you have a pre-arranged appointment.”

Patients with appointments were being directed to an entrance next to Rowlands Pharmacy, where staff were letting visitors in and out.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police later confirmed they were in attendance at the surgery.
They said: “Police were called to Wem Medical Practice earlier this morning to a report of a man behaving in an anti-social manner and causing a disturbance at the location.
“An officer was dealing with the incident.”
At 10.46am, the medical practice issued an update stating the incident was “now resolved”.
An update has been requested from West Mercia Police.
