Plans submitted to build four houses in Albrighton

Plans have been submitted to build four houses in Albrighton.

The proposal is for land near Beamish Lane.

Submitting a design and access statement, Jacob Sedgemore, of Stoneleigh Architectural Services, said the plan was initially to build three houses.

However, the principle of development remains, he added, and the four-unit scheme "serves to further strengthen the ribbon of development and contribute to the current shortfall in housing supply".

"This is currently the currently the last house in the ribbon. The site to the west is significant and serves as a natural extension of the ribbon of development to bridge the space with the existing well-lit pavement into the High Street of Albrighton," he said.

Mr Sedgemore added that plots one and two are traditional three-bed properties, while plots three and four offer a mix of accommodation with two primary bedrooms plus a study.

Each home will have large private rear amenity spaces, as well as attractive front planting and greenery.

The large screen of existing mature planting along Kingswood Road will be retained, said Mr Sedgemore, and ensures privacy for all plots - maintaining character along the roadside.
