Pictures offer glimpse inside Ludlow's new M&S ahead of Wednesday opening

The hotly anticipated new M&S food store on Sheet Road in Ludlow opens at 9am tomorrow, after months of speculation and anticipation amongst the general public in South Shropshire.

The Shropshire Star has been given exclusive access to some behind-the-scenes pictures of the store ahead of its opening.
The photos showcase the aisles and offerings that eager shoppers will get to see for themselves once doors finally open.

Store manager Adam Byfield said earlier this week that the store “will showcase the very best of M&S Food” and stated that he “can’t wait” to welcome customers to the store.
At 15,400 sq ft, the fresh-market style store will be home to an in-store bakery and coffee counter, which will serve barista-made takeaway drinks.

It will also provide a hot chicken counter, serving BBQ and butter-based flavour British rotisserie chicken, and fresh produce from M&S’ Select Farms.
The store will employ more than 70 members of staff, playing its part in supporting the local community.
