Oswestry cinema puts on extra showing of War Horse

An Oswestry cinema group is putting on an extra screening of the National Theatre's original production of War Horse due to public demand.

Kinoculture Cinema's first two scheduled screenings of the show, which are part of the town's literary festival, sold out within a week.

Organisers have now arranged for a further screening to take place in order to meet demand.

It will take place at The Attfield Theatre in The Guildhall in the town centre on March 25 at 7pm.

Ruth Carter, from the Kinokulture group, said: "Tickets will go on sale for this event on February 14.

"Advance booking is advisable as the first two screenings, which are taking place as part of the Oswestry LitFest on March 15, sold out in the first week of the tickets going on sale.

"Tickets for this screening event cost £12 for adults and £10 for under 16s."

Tickets can be booked by calling the kinokulture cinema box office on 0845 2500517 or emailing info@kinokulture .org.uk The screenings are just one feature included in this year's Oswestry LitFest programme.

Among the other events will be the inaugural Wilfred Owen Lecture, to be written and presented by UNICEF ambassador and former BBC foreign correspondent Martin Bell.

The lecture takes place on Wilfred Owen's birthday, March 18 and in Holy Trinity Church in Oswestry, where both he, and his mother, were christened.

Tickets are available from Booka Bookshop or online at Eventbrite.
