One of UK's oldest vineyards nestled in West Midlands countryside put on the market
Family-run Astley Vineyard near Stourport has been listed for sale
A vineyard near Stourport, Worcestershire, has been put on the market with a guide price of £1.9 million.

Family-run Astley Vineyard, which includes five acres of vines, woodland and gardens and a newly-fitted winery plus chilled wine warehouse, is being offered for sale by Strutt & Parker.
The 8.5-acre freehold site, which is situated in the parish of Astley - nine miles away from Worcester, also includes two contemporary homes, which between them have five reception rooms, eight bedrooms, four bathrooms and garaging.
It also has two new fully-furnished shepherd huts, a retail shop/tasting room with terrace, plus a tractor shed and storage units.
Planted in 1971, the award-winning vineyard stands 95-metres above sea level and is one of the oldest in the UK. It was widely regarded as one of the most northerly in the world when it was first established.
Today it produces around 7,000 bottles of boutique wine each year and has been run by the Haywood family since 2017, having been originally established by the Bache family who owned the site until the early 1990s.
Sales particulars say: “Some of these vines are over 50-years-old and produce highly sought after wines.

“Astley Vineyard was established in 1971 and continues to be a very successful business producing an average of 7,000 bottles per annum, also winning many awards and trophies.
“The current owners have vastly improved the vineyard and this is a great opportunity for someone keen to take up the reins and continue to grow.”

The residential property on the site comprises the Crundles - a 2,725 sq ft detached five-bedroom home with a contemporary feel; and The Stables - a 1,868 sq ft three-bedroom modern house.
The vineyard and houses are accessed separately via two separate drives to maintain privacy.
