July’s drawn out heatwave didn’t deter thousands from attending the return of Newport Show for 2026.
Crowds poured into Chetwynd Deer Park under blazing 30C sunshine on Saturday as the award‑winning Newport Show made its sizzling return.
Families, farmers and food lovers packed the showground for a day that mixed rural tradition with big‑ticket entertainment - from Rosemary Shrager’s cookery masterclass to the Wye Valley Axemen’s lumberjack displays and the high‑flying stunts of Team MAD BMX.
The blistering heat didn’t slow the pace, with more than 50 free activities, artisan food stalls and live music keeping the show buzzing throughout the day.
And our photographer was there to capture the colour, energy and sun‑soaked atmosphere of one of Shropshire’s most popular rural events.
