New Starbucks opening in Shrewsbury - here's when
Famous US coffee chain is launching its latest café and drive-thru site south of the town centre
A new Starbucks is opening in Shrewsbury today.
The café and drive-thru is housed on the new Hazledine Park in Meole Brace.
A KFC restaurant, which also has a drive-thru, is due to open on Monday September 14.
Hazledine Park has been built on the former pitch-and-putt golf course close to Shrewsbury Town's stadium and is bounded by Oteley Road and Hazledine Way.
Other work on the site includes a single-storey building with five self-contained retail units, one of which has been let to tanning salon chain Indigo Sun. There are also 100 parking spaces.
Shrewsbury-based Morris Property carried out the development project and, with construction work now complete, has handed the park over to landlord Shropshire Council.

The council commissioned the development to serve the needs of the growing community at the south side of Shrewsbury and the authority is now managing the fit out of the new units.
The new Starbucks and KFC are joining a busy area of the town for food and drink outlets with two Costa Coffee venues and a Subway on nearby Meole Brace Retail Park while Starbucks also has a café off Dobbies Island.
Starbucks also runs a concession stand in the Bannatyne gym which neighbours Hazledine Park.
