New signs for Shrewsbury park and ride to reduce motorists' confusion
Some motorists had been confused by previous signage
Temporary signage is now in place to make it easier for people to find a park and ride near Shrewsbury.
The Meole Brace site is located off Hereford Road, where traffic exits the Dobbies roundabout. However, previous signage gave some motorists the impression it was accessed via the next roundabout, where the Meole Brace Retail Park is, rather than through the Darwin's Edge housing estate run by Bellway Homes.
In an effort to mitigate confusion, mention of the park and ride has been removed from the sign at the roundabout.

Motorists are now instead shown where to access it, with a sign pointing them towards the housing estate.
A Shropshire Council spokesperson said: "New temporary signage is now in place to help make it easier for people to find and use the Meole Park and Ride site. We have been in discussions with Bellway Homes for some time about the need for improved signage to the site and are continuing to monitor the situation to find a long-term solution."
