New nine hole disc golf course opens on Worcestershire and Shropshire border
The new nine-hole course has been designed to cater for both beginners and more experienced players, offering separate beginner and advanced tees.
Visitors to Wyre Forest can now enjoy a brand-new disc golf course, bringing one of the world's fastest-growing outdoor sports to the ancient woodland on the Worcestershire and Shropshire border.
The new nine-hole course has been designed to cater for both beginners and more experienced players, offering separate beginner and advanced tees.
Hidden within the trees, the course provides a fun and active way for families, friends and outdoor enthusiasts to explore the forest while trying something new.

Disc golf combines elements of traditional golf.
Players throw specially designed frisbee-style discs towards fixed targets, scattered throughout the forest.
The aim is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws.
The course is open seven days a week, all year round, with no booking required.
Visitors can play for free using their own discs or hire discs from the on-site information point or Wyre Forest Cafe.
Discs can be hired for £3.50 per disc or £12 for four discs, with discounted rates available for Forestry England members.
Hamish Wood, recreation manager for Forestry England at Wyre Forest, said: "We're delighted to be bringing disc golf to Wyre Forest, giving visitors another fantastic way to enjoy spending time in the forest.
“The course has been designed so that everyone can get involved, whether you're completely new to the sport or already an experienced player.
"Disc golf is easy to pick up, great fun with friends and family, and offers a brilliant way to be active outdoors while exploring the woodland. It’s a social activity that’s perfect for bringing people together, and we're excited to welcome visitors to give it a go."
