New housing development planned in Shifnal
Walton Homes is leading the Montgomery Grange scheme which will bring more than 30 new family houses to the Shropshire town
A new housing development is set to be built in a Shropshire town.
Walton Homes is planning to construct 31 new homes on land off Hem Lane west of Shifnal town centre.
The new development will have houses ranging from three to five bedrooms.
Called Montgomery Grange, Walton Homes said it had been designed with modern family living in mind and the development site was well placed for commuters, with Shifnal station providing direct links to Telford, Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
It will also be a short drive from the M54 and A5 and close to attractions such as Weston Park, Blists Hill Victorian Town and Ironbridge Gorge.
Amy Summerton, director at Lichfield-based Walton Homes, said: "We're delighted to be bringing Montgomery Grange to Shifnal and to be expanding our presence into another fantastic Midlands location.
"Shifnal offers a really attractive combination of countryside, character and connectivity, making it an ideal location for modern family life.
"Montgomery Grange will provide a carefully curated collection of new homes that we hope will become an important part of the local community.
"We're looking forward to sharing more details with prospective buyers over the coming months as the development progresses."
Montgomery Grange will be the latest development in Walton Homes' growing portfolio of homes across the West Midlands including sites in Handsacre near Lichfield and Stoke-on-Trent.
