Stuart Anderson, MP for South Shropshire said that Barclays in Craven Arms may soon be removing its cash machine.
The MP said he has written to the bank to voice his concerns that residents in the town will soon have no access to free withdrawals.
“Craven Arms must not be left without free access to cash,” the MP said.
“I understand that Barclays may be removing its cash machine, which could leave local residents without a free way to access their own money.
“I don’t believe people should have to pay a fee to withdraw their own cash.
“I’ve contacted Barclays and LINK to raise my concerns, and I’ll do everything I can to get this resolved.”
Barclays has been approached for comment.
