Police in Shropshire have made light of the “most unusual parking attempt of the year”.
Officers from the South Shropshire Safer Neighbourhood Team were in Broseley on Saturday night (August 29) after reports of a crash.
Taking to social media, a spokesperson for Bridgnorth Police shared a post documenting the unusual incident and showing images of exactly what happened.
The spokesperson said that when police arrived on Broseley High Street, the location of the incident, officers found what they described as a “highly advanced ‘3D Parallel Parking’ manoeuvre”.

The spokesperson added: “While we appreciate the effort to push the boundaries of conventional parking, we're advised that this particular technique is not currently recognised within the Highway Code.”
Nobody was injured as a result of the incident, and the driver reportedly managed to climb out of the vehicle on his own.
The police spokesperson made a light-hearted quip that it was “fortunate” that the incident occurred outside a pub full of people.
This meant that “there were plenty of people on hand to witness what may well become Broseley's most unusual parking attempt of the year,” the spokesperson added.

West Mercia Police, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, and the West Midlands Ambulance Service all attended the incident.
Emergency services made the scene safe and the driver of the vehicle was cared for by paramedics as a precaution.
The vehicle itself was eventually recovered.
The police spokesperson said: “We'd like to thank members of the public for their patience while emergency services dealt with the incident.”
