An “outstanding” caravan park in Mid Wales has been crowned the country’s best.
Red Kite Touring and Lodge Park near Llanidloes topped the holiday site list for Wales in the Practical Caravan Top 100 Sites Guide 2026, which is voted for by the public.
The adults-only park was hailed as "outstanding" and having "exceptional facilities”.
The park sits on a south-facing hillside in the Clywedog Valley, boasting wide, uninterrupted countryside views.

It's also a wildlife haven with buzzards, red kites, and occasionally ospreys seen.
The site has 62 fully serviced pitches, suitable for caravans and motorhomes, as well as luxury lodges - though you have to buy those.
For the 2026 season and beyond Red Kite will open year-round, and events have already been planned for Bonfire Night and New Year's Eve.
Practical Caravan magazine said of the site: "This outstanding adults-only site in Mid Wales has been celebrated for its exceptional facilities and consistently high standards."
The caravan park is just a 15-minute walk away from the lovely town of Llanidloes close to stunning natural attractions like Hafren Forest and Llyn Clywedog.
The majority of visitors who have left reviews on Google have rated it five stars.
