Rail replacement buses running in Shropshire amid 'major disruption' in the West Midlands
The incident was first reported at around 12.26pm
Rail replacement buses were currently running between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury amid ‘major disruption’ in the West Midlands.
A points failure in the Wolverhampton area on Tuesday (June 30) caused major disruption to several lines.
As a result, rail replacement buses were running between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury via Telford Central on Tuesday afternoon.
National Rail said ‘major disruption’ is expected until at least 4pm.
Passengers can check their journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.
Pick-up and drop-off location of rail replacement services can be found on station signage or by searching on National Rail’s Find a Station page.
A spokesperson for National Rail said: “Please be advised that replacement vehicles may be busier than usual, and you should allow extra time for your journey.”
