Major road to close from 8pm tonight
Drivers are being warned of an overnight road closure on a busy stretch of the A5 in Staffordshire.
National Highways says the A5 will be closed in both directions between Gailey Roundabout and M6 Junction 12 from 8pm tonight until 6am tomorrow (Sunday, 14).
The closure is part of planned works in the area around Gailey Roundabout, a key junction linking the A5 and A449 just west of the motorway.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys and follow signed diversion routes while the closure is in place.
