Lucky escape for birds in car

It was almost an unhappy ending for blackbirds who had decided to set up home in the engine bay of a scrap vehicle in Telford.
For staff at Shropshire 4x4 Breakers on Tweedale North Industrial estate discovered three chicks in a nest as they took the bonnet off the Range Rover to break it down for scrap.
It was a lucky day for the the chicks after boss Martin Darrall told the staff to close the bonnet quietly and put the vehicle back where it had been stored for the last few months.
Mr Darrall said: "We were just about to scrap a Range Rover and there was these three chicks nesting in the engine bay. We have just seen the mother and she's a blackbird.
"We opened the bonnet to get the stuff out of the engine bay to scrap but we cannot really do anything with it now.
"We will put the car back where it was before and hope the mother will keep coming back to the nest."
Mr Darrall said it was the first time they had any animals set up home at the breakers site but had brought yesterday's work to halt.
