Newport Ballroom is waltzing back to life
Newport’s beloved ballroom has reopened this week, after 22 years of sitting idle.

The Ballroom, on the second floor of Newport’s Market Hall, began a new life this week as a double-purpose fitness studio and function venue.
After £120,000 worth of renovation, the Newport Market Company entered into a deal with Nikki Witty of Pulse Fitness.
Nikki will now operate the venue as a space for fitness classes in the week, and as a venue for weddings, parties and other private events on weekends.
Nikki said at the grand reopening this week: “I hope it will be a really positive thing for Newport, putting the heart back into the town.”
“With all the different classes and the functions there should be something for everyone to enjoy.”
