Telford man who inhaled gas despite ban receives suspended sentence

A man who inhaled a flammable substance in public despite a criminal behaviour order banning him has been handed a suspended jail term.

Paul Cotton, aged 46, was prohibited from consuming substances by an order handed down by Telford Magistrates Court on February 23 last year.

But, last Thursday, September 8, he was caught doing it in Telford.

Cotton, from Telford but of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates Court to breaching a criminal behaviour order.

He was given a 40-week prison sentence, suspended for six months.
