Inquest opens into death of taxi driver in Telford

An inquest has opened into the death of a taxi driver who was killed in a crash in Telford.

Ishfaq Hussain, of Regent Street, Wellington, died on August 7 when his taxi, a red Skoda Octavia, hit a tree in Ironbridge Road, Madeley.

The inquest into the 51-year-old's death was opened and adjourned at Shirehall, in Shrewsbury, yesterday.

It is expected to resume on November 21 at Telford & Wrekin Register Office.

Detectives are investigating reports an occupant of the Skoda was involved in two arguments with people in a silver Peugeot 307 shortly before the crash.

Two men and two women were arrested on suspicion of murder but were released under investigation.
