Woman freed from car after crash near Shrewsbury

Emergency crews helped a woman to get out of a car that crashed near Shrewsbury.

The vehicle was travelling on the A488 at Pontesford when the collision happened shortly before 7.30pm on Saturday.

Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service sent crews from Bishops Castle, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Wellington to the scene along with an operations officer.

The brigade's website said that the female was "now in the care of ambulance service".
