During lockdown, James and Lea Kendall, who run the organisation, decided to take their passion for the outdoors online, with remarkable results.

One of their virtual events about wild food attracted 5000 people who tuned in from across Britain.

Their next Facebook event is a free evening showing people how to identify trees in winter, that will be on February 8 at 7.30pm.

Bushcraft instructor and author of The Complete Tree ID Course, James will show people how to identify a range of tree species in the UK in the season of winter,

He said: "During lockdown people have really connected to their local green spaces and want to know more about nature. It is lovely to see the renewed interest."

"Lea and I usually run courses for people of all ages, based at Chirk Castle. We thought it would be good to put online courses on during lockdown and they have been a great success."

With James' background in environmental conservation work and woodland management and Lea's qualifications in counselling and nature based mindfulness the couple provide a wide range of courses."

They now have a new addition to their family, seven month old Beren who was born in lockdown.

"He already loves being outside and was amazed with the recent snow," James said.
