Motorcyclist killed in Oswestry A483 crash

A motorcyclist has died in a crash on the outskirts of Oswestry.

Police say the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was riding a Honda motorcycle south along the A483 when it is believed to have been involved in a collision with a black Hyundai Tuscon at Sweeney.

The accident happened at about 2.15pm on Sunday.

Emergency services responded but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai was uninjured.

The man's next of kin and the coroner have both been informed. Police closed the A483 between the A5 and B4398.

West Mercia Police spokesman Kieren Bodill,said officers investigating the incident wanted to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the motorcycle and the manner in which it was being driven, before the collision occurred.
