This lively town has plenty of pubs and more than 30 walking routes around it, including Glyndwr's Way and the Severn Way, plus Hafren Forest and the Cambrian Mountains nearby making it a magnet for ramblers. The Clywedog Reservoir is a popular spot for sailing, angling and wildlife watching.
